Community Rules

The players decide what this server becomes.

HardcoreMC isn't built around a long list of predefined restrictions. Outside of four permanent rules, the community proposes and decides the gameplay systems that shape the server — economies, laws, territory, PvP, factions, and anything else players want to build together.

The community primarily decides gameplay rules and systems. Server staff always retain final authority over infrastructure, moderation, security, and how any accepted proposal actually gets implemented.

Permanent Rules

These four rules are the foundation of the server. They cannot be changed, weakened, or removed by a community proposal.

1

No hacking or cheating

Hacked clients, X-ray, exploits, or any other method used to gain an unfair advantage are prohibited, full stop.

2

No harming server performance

Deliberately causing excessive load, crashing the server, or abusing mechanics to create lag is prohibited.

3

Staff retain administrative rights

Staff keep the permissions needed to operate, maintain, moderate, update, and secure the server. Technical and moderation decisions aren't put to a vote.

4

Discord has its own rules

The official HardcoreMC Discord is administered by staff under its own moderation and platform rules, separate from in-game community proposals.

How a proposal becomes a rule

Every community system — big or small — moves through the same lifecycle.

01

Propose

A player pitches an idea — a system, a law, a restriction.

02

Discuss

The community and staff talk it through, refine the details.

03

Accept

If it holds up, the proposal is accepted as a server decision.

04

Implement

Staff put it into practice as an active rule or system.

05

Modify / Remove

Nothing is permanent — the community can revisit it later.

Community Rules

Everything outside the permanent rules above — created, changed, or retired by community decision.
